Donald Trump says it’s time for homeless people to “move out” of Washington DC — immediately.
His reason? He wants the capital “safer and more beautiful than it ever was before.” But Mayor Muriel Bowser isn’t buying it.
Trump, fresh off signing an order to make arrests easier, has already sent in 450 federal officers — from the DEA to the FBI.
They will tackle what he calls “totally out of control” crime.
He’s even hinted at bringing in the National Guard. “There will be no ‘Mr. Nice Guy,’” he posted alongside photos of tents and trash.
Bowser’s Response?
“We are not experiencing a crime spike,” she told MSNBC, pointing out that violent crime is at a 30-year low.
And she took aim at the White House’s Baghdad comparison, calling it “hyperbolic and false.”
Still, the numbers show Washington DC has one of the higher homicide rates per capita, with 98 so far this year.

Around 3,782 people are homeless on any given night — about 800 sleeping rough.
Trump says his Monday press conference will unveil plans to end “crime, murder and death” — plus a “physical renovation” of the city.
But whether this becomes a security success or a political street fight? Well, that’s a showdown only DC can stage.
