What would you do if you stumbled upon a teddy bear that looked like it was stitched together from human flesh?
That’s exactly what happened at a gas station in Victorville, California—causing quite a stir and prompting a full police and coroner response.
The eerie find, dubbed a “macabre teddy bear,” was left outside an AMPM station.
It triggered rumors of a serial killer and closed the station for hours.
It Was Just A Prank
Police say 23-year-old Hector Corona Villanueva planted the creepy creation.
He now faces charges for causing a false emergency and planting fake evidence.
Though no human parts were involved, officials weren’t amused.
“Incidents like this waste valuable emergency resources,” the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office stated.

Artist Robert Kelly, who specializes in horror props, later claimed credit for crafting the bear.
He says he sold it through Etsy to a buyer in Victorville—never imagining it would end up causing chaos.
“I had no idea what the buyer planned,” Kelly told People.
It’s one thing to create horror for Halloween. It’s another when your art makes headlines—and police reports.
