In a horrifying incident that’s left aviation officials and travelers shaken, a man died.
He was pulled into a jet engine at Milan’s Bergamo Airport on Tuesday morning.
The aircraft, operated by Spanish airline Volotea, had just pushed back from the gate.

According to Corriere della Sera, airport sources say the man—who wasn’t a passenger or airport employee—somehow accessed the runway.
He ran toward the plane just as it prepared for takeoff.
