A gold-colored Trump smartphone?
That’s the latest pitch from the Trump Organization—and it’s already raising eyebrows.
Priced at $499, this flashy device promises to be “Made in America.”
But is that really possible? Experts don’t think so.
“They don’t even have a working prototype,” said Prof Tinglong Dai of Johns Hopkins. “You’d need a miracle.”
Even Eric Trump admitted on a podcast that the first batch might not be fully American-made.
Industry analyst Leo Gebbie added, “The US just doesn’t have the supply chain to build smartphones from scratch.”
And then, of course, there’s the politics.
What Are The Critics Saying?
Critics like Meghan Faulkner of CREW are calling it another way for Trump to cash in on his presidency. “It’s unbelievable,” she said.
The phone will also come with a $47.45 monthly service plan.

With Trump’s net worth now reportedly over $5 billion, boosted by his followers’ loyalty, this phone is just the latest branding gamble.
Will it sell? Some are already lining up. Others are wondering: Will every text be in all caps?
