San Diego Crash Claims Life Of Sum 41 Music Agent

Sum 41 music agent among those killed in San Diego plane crash.

Dave Shapiro, a powerhouse music agent behind bands like Sum 41 and Pierce the Veil, was among six people presumed dead.

This followed after a small jet slammed into a San Diego neighborhood.

“We are devastated,” said a rep from Sound Talent Group, confirming three employees, including Shapiro, were aboard.

The crash not only destroyed a home and damaged ten more—it shook the industry.

Former drummer of The Devil Wears Prada, Daniel Williams, is also believed to have been on the flight.

What Happened?

Hours before the accident, he posted Instagram stories from inside the cockpit.

Beside Shapiro, a seasoned pilot and flight instructor.

The plane, a Cessna 550, had taken off from New Jersey and stopped in Kansas before heading west.

It was nearing Montgomery Field when it clipped power lines and nosedived into the Murphy Canyon area.

“There’s plane everywhere,” said Fire Chief Dan Eddy.

Local residents described a thunderous boom, flaming cars, and chaos in the early morning dark.

A tragic ending for lives that soared so high.

As one fan wrote simply: “No words. Love you forever.”
