LA 2028 Olympics To Offer Air Taxi Service For Spectators

LA 2028 Olympics plans air taxi service for spectators.

What if, instead of sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic, you soared over it to catch your Olympic event on time?

That’s exactly what LA28 organizers hope to deliver—with flying taxis.

Yep, flying taxis.

In a futuristic move straight out of sci-fi, the LA 2028 Olympic committee has teamed up with Archer Aviation.

They plan to launch air taxis during the Summer and Paralympic Games.

What’s The Goal?

Whisk spectators across the city in just 10–20 minutes, bypassing LA’s famously jammed roads.

“We want to transform the way people get around Los Angeles,” said Archer CEO Adam Goldstein.

And the Olympics? “There’s no better time to do that.”

But before you start packing your jet-set outfit, there’s a catch.

The aircraft, known as “Midnight,” still needs a thumbs-up from the FAA.

They’re aiming for certification this year.

Think helicopter vibes, minus the noise and emissions—thanks to its 12 electric propellers.

Archer, backed by United Airlines and Boeing, says rides could cost about the same as a luxe Uber.

And yes, you’ll book it on an app.

So, will LA’s skies be buzzing with sleek eVTOLs by 2028? Only time (and regulators) will tell.
