Harry Potter star Nick Moran nagging pain turned out to be something much more serious.
Moran, known for playing Scabior in Deathly Hallows and for his breakout role in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, ended up in emergency surgery.
Doctors discovered the pain was affecting his spinal cord—dangerously close to cutting off his ability to walk or speak.
“He might never walk or talk again,” shared his friend Terry Stone in a jaw-dropping reveal to MailOnline.
“It was that close.” The 55-year-old actor underwent intricate microsurgery, which included artificial bone replacements in his neck.
It was no small feat, especially with nerves and spinal function on the line.

There’s A good News
Thankfully, there’s good news. Moran’s rep confirmed he’s now home, walking, talking, and on the mend.
“He’s making a full recovery and will be back filming soon,” the statement assured.
It’s a powerful reminder: sometimes the pain you shrug off might be your body’s way of yelling for help.
As for Moran? Let’s just say the only thing he’s vanishing now is recovery time—and he’s doing it like a true wizard.
