Could Elon Musk be eyeing a Premier League club?
His father, Errol Musk, has all but confirmed the billionaire’s interest in buying Liverpool FC.
Britain’s most famous soccer club, Liverpool, is currently valued at over $5.3 billion.
What Did Musk’s Father Say Exactly?
The Weekend Sport first sparked speculation, claiming the Tesla and SpaceX boss was considering a bid for the English giants.
When pressed about it on Times Radio, Errol Musk initially dodged the question.
He jokingly said, “I can’t comment on that, they’ll raise the price.”
But when pushed further, he admitted, “Oh yes, he has expressed a desire… but that doesn’t mean he’s buying it.”
Liverpool Didn’t Confirm This?
Meanwhile, Liverpool has not responded to the news yet.
Fenway Sports Group (FSG), which owns the club, downplayed selling the club last year when Principal owner John W. Henry was asked about the possibility.
But the backdoor talks have not yet found their way to the press at the moment.
