Urfan Sharif, the father of murdered schoolgirl Sara Sharif, was reportedly attacked in Belmarsh Prison.
Fellow inmates slashed Urban’s throat using a makeshift weapon made from a tuna tin lid.
The assault, which took place on New Year’s Day, left the 43-year-old with serious neck and facial wounds but he is fine now.

Sharif, serving a life sentence for the brutal murder of his 10-year-old daughter, was rushed by two prisoners in what sources describe as a premeditated attack.
A prison insider told The Sun he was “lucky to survive” and required stitches.

Last month, Sharif and his wife, Beinash Batool, were convicted of torturing and killing Sara at their home in Woking, Surrey.
The couple fled to Pakistan after the crime but were later extradited.
The judge described their abuse as “torture” and sentenced them to at least 40 years behind bars.
