A dead body was found in the landing gear compartment of a United Airlines plane after it landed in Hawaii on Christmas eve.
Flight 202 had departed from Chicago’s O’Hare airport earlier that morning and touched down at Kahului airport in the afternoon.
The dead body was located in the wheel well of the Boeing 787-10 aircraft, a space accessible only from the outside, according to United Airlines.
How The Body Ended Up There?
How or when the person ended up there remains a mystery.
United Airlines confirmed it is cooperating with law enforcement in the ongoing investigation.
The Maui Police Department acknowledged the incident, telling Hawaii News Now it was investigating the body but declined to provide further details.
The person’s identity has not yet been revealed. The incident comes after the Airline grounded all of its flights a day earlier due to technical reason.
