Mysterious drones have been buzzing over parts of New Jersey for weeks.
Residents, lawmakers, and security officials are still determining who is behind the phenomenon that has been happening since November.
While Governor Phil Murphy insists they pose no public safety threat, their presence has sparked debates on social media.
What is Happening?
The sightings began in November, first starting from the scenic Raritan River, New Jersey’s largest aquifer.
But reports have since spread statewide, with drones seen over sensitive military installations near the coast.
Some of the drones were also spotted over Donald Trump’s Bedminster golf course.
Drones Are Six Feet in Size
According to CBS News National Investigative Correspondent, Tom Hanson, some of these drones are up to six feet in diameter.
John Kirby, the White House national security spokesman, claimed to the point that the drones were manned but posed no “national security or a public safety threat, or have a foreign nexus”.
