India Says Elon Musk’s Starlink Device Used To Bring $4.5 BILLION Meth

Indian authorities are investigating a surprising tech twist in their fight against drug smuggling.

The government has said that it is approaching Elon Musk after it found $4.5 billion worth of drugs being smuggled through Starlink satellite.

The India Coast Guard intercepted a boat from Myanmar carrying around 6,000 kilograms of methamphetamine with a Starlink device as well.

Last week, the Indian Coast Guard intercepted a Myanmar-based boat and discovered $4.5 billion worth of meth and a Starlink device.

Six Myanmar nationals were arrested in the operation.

Indian authorities believe the smugglers used the Starlink device to create a Wi-Fi hotspot to bypass legal communication channels.

Indian police have now reached out to Starlink, seeking details on who purchased the device and its usage history.

The tech giant, which has faced regulatory roadblocks in India since 2021, hasn’t yet responded to the inquiry.
