Several of Donald Trump’s cabinet picks and appointees have faced a wave of violent threats, including bomb alerts, Trump’s transition team said.
These threats reportedly occurred late Tuesday, November 27, and into the following morning.
Trump’s Team Reported Bomb & Swatting Threats
Swatting—a dangerous prank where false reports lead to an armed police response—was among the tactics used.
Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth confirmed that police had notified him of “a credible pipe bomb threat”.
Trump’s nominee for US Ambassador to the United Nations, revealed her home was also hit with a bomb threat.
FBI Investigating Threats
The FBI is investigating the incidents, urging the public to report any suspicious activity.
“We take all threats seriously,” said an FBI spokesperson.
These threats follow a series of violent episodes targeting Trump, including an attempted assassination in July and another foiled plot near one of his Florida properties in September.
