In a shocking twist, the Philippine Vice President threatened to assassinate the President, her wife, and the Philippine House Speaker.
Sara Duterte publicly claimed on Saturday that she has hired an assassin to kill President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., his wife Liza Araneta-Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez if she is killed.
This is Not A Joke
“This is no joke,” Duterte warned during a fiery online press conference where she threatened to kill those mentioned.
Nothing of this sort has ever happened in any country where a country’s Vice-President of a country has publicly threatened to kill the President and other public officials.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin called the statement an “active threat” and referred it to the presidential guards for immediate action.
Vice-President Expected To Be Targeted Too
It seemed like Mrs Duterte was expecting an attack on her life as well as she threatened to kill the President if she was harmed or killed.
“If I die, don’t stop until you’ve killed them,” she said during the press conference.
