Netflix Hit With $50M Lawsuit Over Tyson-Paul Fight Streaming Glitches

A Florida boxing fan is taking Netflix to court after buffering issues disrupted the highly anticipated Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight.

The bout, which saw 108 million viewers tune in and over 65 million households watching live pushed the streaming giant to its limits.

The fan who filed the lawsuit claimed that Netflix was buffering for minutes during the much-anticipated fight.

What Does The Lawsuit Say?

The disgruntled fan, Ronald “Blue” Denton, claims “breach of contract and deceptive practices” as he was not able to enjoy the game.

Ronald claimed that “60 million Americans were hyped to see ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson, ‘the Baddest Man on the Planet’ versus Youtuber-turner-prizefighter Jake Paul. What they saw was ‘The Baddest Streaming on Planet”

$50 Million in Damages

Now he is seeking $50 million in damages and class-action status.

The event raked in £14.3 million from ticket sales, with 72,000 fans packing the venue—the largest non-Vegas crowd ever.
