North Koreans are innovating and using new ways to harass their peaceful South Korean neighbors.
According to the New York Times, people living in a South Korean village on the border with North Korea are hearing unbearable sounds that are making their days and nights miserable.
Reporting from the border village known as the Dangsan-dong, NYT’s Choe Sang-Hun writes about large loudspeakers that have been bombarding the village with 24/7 noise.
North Korea Deploys New Weapon
This is a new type of weapon that the North Korean military has been using since July of this year, the report says.

“North Korea has amped up loudspeakers along its border with South Korea for 10 to 24 hours a day, broadcasting eerie noises,” Mr. Sang writes.
The reporter also uploaded a video to show the readers how terrible it feels and how the villagers are coping with this new headache.
