Report Says Climate Change Cost $2 Trillion Globally in Ten Years

Climate-induced disasters over the past decade have inflicted nearly $2 trillion in economic losses globally. 

According to a report by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), climate change is already wrecking havoc around the world with costs hitting the 2 trillion mark for the very first time.

The last two horrific hurricanes alone cost the economy $132 billion alone.

Approximately 1.6 billion people were impacted globally by climate-related disasters, which is a significant increase.

2024 Will Be The Hottest Year on Record

Data released by Europe’s Copernicus Climate Change Service confirms that 2024 will be the warmest year on record.

The warning comes after temperatures breached critical thresholds in Europe, the US, and Canada in 2024.
