Donald Trump has secured victory in Arizona, sweeping all key swing states that previously went to Joe Biden.
With Edison Research’s projection, Trump is expected to finish with 312 Electoral College votes to Harris’s 226.
His win includes swing states such as Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Nevada, and now Arizona, marking a significant Republican win after Joe Biden’s 2020 success in six of these states.
Trump gained 50.5% Votes
Nationwide, Trump received 74.6 million votes, or 50.5%, while Harris received 70.9 million votes or 48%.
However, Republicans appear close to clinching control of the US House of Representatives, in addition to control of the Senate, which they won in 2020.
Six Swing States Went To Biden in 2020
Out of the total seven key swing states, President Biden was able to win six of them in the 2020 election.
Political analysts credit Trump’s practical appeal to the Americans of the swing states for winning all of them.
