Canada Names Indian Minister Amit Shah For Targeting Sikh Separatists

Canada has alleged that the Indian Home Minister was responsible for assassinating sikh leaders on its soil.

On Tuesday, the Canadian government intensified its diplomatic row with India by alleging that Amit Shah, a close ally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was involved in orchestrating attacks against Sikh separatists in Canada.

Relations Drops To Lowest

These allegations come amid growing tensions between the two countries, which have already led to a tit-for-tat expulsion of diplomats in October.

Canadian Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister David Morrison confirmed to The Washington Post of Shah’s alleged involvement after a journalist asked about it.

However, Morrison did not provide additional evidence or details supporting the claims.

India Rejects Allegations

Indian authorities have dismissed the allegations as unfounded, maintaining that the accusations are part of a political narrative.

Neither the High Commission of India in Ottawa nor the Indian foreign ministry has yet issued a formal response.
