US political temperature rose to another high after an attempted assassinated attempt on Donald Trump which was fortunately prevented.
In a tweet, Elon Musk recently questioned why there were no assassination attempts on the lives of President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, to which the Secret Service said they are aware.
Elon Musk later deleted the tweet, saying, “it was a joke”.
X Users Condemns Elon Musk
Many X users condemned Elon Musk’s tweet for being irresponsible amid the chaotic political situation in the US.
The Secret Service told the BBC upon request that they are aware of the threats posed against the US public officials even if that comes from a tech giant such as Elon Musk.
“We can say, however, that the Secret Service investigates all threats related to our protectees,” the Secret Service told the BBC.
White House also condemned Elon Musk’s provocative statement for being “irresponsible”.
