Yemen-based Houthi rebels claimed to have shot down another US drone, according to Al-Jazeera.
The military spokesperson for the group said that the MQ-9 Reaper drone was shot down because it was conducting hostile activities over Yemen.
This is the fifth drone that has been shot down by the rebels over its territory in response to the volatile situation in the Middle East.

The drone, which costs around $30 million each has been at the forefront of US counterterrorism operations since 911.
The Jerusalem Post reported that the terrorist group didn’t provide any concrete evidence to prove they did shoot down the aircraft.

The Houthis have been targeting commercial ships in the vital Red Sea crossing since October 7 when Israel was attacked by a terrorist group.
The Yemen-based group has been attacking ships, which they claimed to have links to Israel that is waging war since October 7.
