Boeing’s Starliner Returns Back Earth From ISS Safely

Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft has successfully returned to Earth from the International Space Station (ISS).

The spacecraft, which traveled without astronauts after undocking, experienced technical issues that made it unsafe for NASA astronauts to return in it.

Instead, they will return via a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule, extending their planned eight-day mission to an eight-month stay on the ISS.

Starliner Landed Safely

NASA expressed satisfaction with the Starliner’s safe landing but said that the mission had not gone as planned.

The spacecraft landed at White Sands Space Harbor in New Mexico after a six-hour return journey, using parachutes to slow its descent.

The spacecraft caused controversy after it faced technical problems like helium leaks and failing thrusters on the ISS, leaving astronauts in limbo.

Astronauts To Come in 2025

According to NASA, the stranded astronauts named Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams will come back to Earth in 2025.

The agency has also collaborated with SpaceX in order to facilitate bringing the astronauts back home.
