Donald Trump has indicated his support for legalizing marijuana for personal use in Florida.
Writing on his Truth Social platform, Trump suggested that voters are likely to approve the measure and stressed the importance of implementing it “correctly.”
Measures To Be Implemented Carefully
The former President said if the Florida public were in favor of legalizing marijuana, it would be implemented with strict oversight.
He cautioned against public use by criticizing democratic-run cities where the problem is prevalent.
Florida legalized medical marijuana in 2016, and the potential legalization of recreational use would align the state with 24 others in the US.
Adults Should Not Be Arrested
Trump highlighted that adults should not be arrested for personal marijuana use in Florida when it is legal in many other states.
He said adult shouldn’t be harassed and taxpayer dollars should be saved instead of wasting it on arresting them.
