Brazil Shuns Out 20 Million X Users After Court Order

Elon Musk’s X has started loading infinitely in Brazil after the country’s court banned it nationwide.

The Brazilian supreme court suspended the platform from the country accusing it of spreading disinformation and threatening democratic institutions, a claim the platform denies.

The Brazilian court judge Alexandre de Moraes put a penalty for users accessing the platform via virtual private networks, the New York Times reports.

X Refused To Comply With Local Laws

The platform’s suspension in the country came when Alexandre de Moraes ordered it to choose a new legal representative.

X closed its offices in the country in mid-August and told its employees to stop working when it became clear that the government was bent on banning it.

X’s global government affairs unit openly denied following court orders and said it would shut down the platforms but wouldn’t comply with court orders.
