Australia Jails Fake YouTube Star For Global Sextortion

An Australian court has jailed a fake YouTube star for running a global sextortion scheme.

The suspect named Muhammad Zain Ul Abideen Rasheed would lured minor girls into graphic conversations and then would ask pressurize them to perform sexual acts.

The network spanned around 20 countries including Australia, Japan, UK, France and the US, the BBC said. 

Most Horrific Sextortion

A court in Perth mentioned that Mr. Rasheed’s case was one of the most horrific ones in the entire country which included more than 270 victims. 

Australian Federal Police Assistant Commissioner David McLean said the suspect completely disregarded the distress and fear of his victims, the majority of which were under the age of 16.

According to court report, Mr. Rasheed was first charged in 2021 for sexually assaulting a minor girl two times in his car.

In the mean team, the suspect is undergoing sex offenders’ treatment program, the BBC reported.
