Strict security measures were put in place in Donald Trump’s latest rally in North Carolina.
Video and images showed the former President standing behind multiple bullet proof glasses covering him from all directions.
According to the CBS News, the Secret Service deployed multiple assets to protect Mr. Trump including mobile vehicles protecting him from vintage points, drones and counter-drone technologies.
SS Make An Exception
Advisors of the former President told the BBC that the heightened security measures are expected to continue for the remainder of the election cycle.
The practice of using bulletproof glass at outdoor events is generally reserved for sitting presidents but the Secret Service made an exception for Mr. Trump.
Why The Exception?
The Secret Service put extreme measures in place due to the recent assassination attempt on Donald Trump’s life in Butler, Pennsylvania.
In a recent interview with Elon Musk on X, Trump said he will return to Butler in October, just before the November presidential election.
