San Francisco Sues Websites Creating AI Fake Nudes

For the very first time in any state’s history, San Francisco sued 16 websites known for creating AI generated fake nude images and videos.

San Francisco City Attorney David Chiu said the lawsuit was first of its kind and will act as a milestone in protecting women and girls rights.

Victims Are Real

Chiu said although the videos were AI generated and fake, the victims shown in those visuals are real.

The lawsuit targets 16 websites known for creating and disseminating nonconsensual AI-generated pornography.

The websites use images of real individuals promising almost real AI generated nude, the lawsuit mentioned.

Lawsuit Demands Removal

The lawsuit alleges that the websites have violated several basic and fundamental human rights and therefore, must be removed from the internet.

It mentioned that the images are” virtually indistinguishable from real photographs, and are used to extort, bully, threaten, and humiliate women and girls” same as revenge porn.
