The US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has ordered the deployment of more military assets in the Middle East amid soaring tensions between Israel and Iran.
The order came as the West and regional allies are starting to worry of an all-out war and possibly a nuclear catastrophe.
The US had already sent USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group and more than two dozen fighter jets.
West Awaits For Iranian Response
Mr. Austin had already given a red light to the Iranian regime that the US military will defend Israel if it was attacked by Iran.
Political analysts believe Iran will respond to maintain its deterrence, but the nature of response still remains unknown.
Writing for the BBC, Francesca Gillett highlighted that an Iranian attack might originate from Lebanon based Hezbollah who had been exchanging missiles with Israel since October 7.
Regional countries like Qatar, Egypt and Jordan are working tirelessly to de-escalate the situation to avoid an all-out war, the report said.
