Microsoft Lists Three Examples
The US tech company outlined four different examples showcasing how Iran will interfere in US elections.
- Microsoft said the Iranian cyber warfare might include phishing emails to US officials to get access to classified information and party’s data.
- The second case will include unauthorized login attempts which happened back in June when malicious actors linked to Iran attempted to access a former Presidential candidate’s account.
- The most dangerous and less expensive way the regime might use is to create news websites to spread disinformation ahead of US elections.
