Latest video footage released by the Pennsylvania police shows the moment the suspect was first spotted by police officers.
The video footage shows police officers scrambling around to see the suspect moments before he opened fire at Donald Trump, hitting him to the ear.
The unarmed officer shown in the video tries to hoist to a rooftop to lay eyes on the suspect, but he immediately jumps down as the suspect fires multiple shots.
Video Reveals Security Failure
The video sheds light on an obvious security failure on behalf of the Secret Service, who the police officer suggests have been told to secure the building.
The police officer can be heard frustrated over Secret Service’s failure to station officers from where the suspect, Crooks, opened fire.
“I told them they need to post guys over there,” the police officer tells another colleague in a video obtained by the Washington Post.
In response to the released footage, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi acknowledged the agency’s failure in protecting Trump.
