Washington Post Reveals Trump Received Funds From Egypt

A Washington Post investigation suggests that the former President Donald Trump received $10 million funding in 2016.

The lengthy investigative report revealed that five days after taking the White House office, Trump received $10 million from a firm associated with Egyptian intelligence services. 

Egyptian Funded Trump’s Campaign 

In a detailed report, the Washington Post claimed that Cairo’s intelligence agencies ordered the National Bank of Egypt to withdraw $10 million in $100 bills just five days after Trump took office.

US investigators were quick to notice the transaction but the inquiry was abruptly halted by then-Attorney General, appointed by Trump.

Trump’s Meetings With Sisi

The investigative team also uncovered a private meeting between Trump and the Egyptian President, Sisi in 2016 in New York.

Trump assured Sisi that a Republican-led White House would be a “loyal friend” to the Egyptian president.

After Trump’s election victory, he invited Sisi to Washington and met with him again in Saudi Arabia the report mentioned.
