After a heart thumping T20 contest, the Indian cricket team beat South Africa by seven runs.
India put 174 runs on the board which the South African side failed to achieve in their second innings, despite a good chase till the last overs.
The Indian won the T20 world cup for the second time in 14 years since 2010.
Indian Innings
The Indian openers failed to put a great show in the start as they lost two quick wickets in the beginning.
With the help of Indian batting star Virat Kohli’s 76 runs, India managed to give a superb target of 174.
The credit went to the Indian bowling side as they worked hard to defend 32 in the last 30 deliveries.
South African Innings
South Africa faced difficulty in the start as they lost quick wickets in the beginning.
The Proteas were still in the game until they lost key wickets of Klaasen, De Kock and then Miller in the final over, changing the equation in India’s favor.
