Japan has charged a US soldier stationed in Okinawa Island for kidnapping and assaulting a minor girl.
The case is likely to intensify public anger over American military presence in the Island country heavily dependent on US military assistance.
Reports suggest that the Japanese government has lodged a strong protest to the US ambassador to Japan to prevent such incident from happening in future.

Local media reports mentioned that the US soldier abducted a 16-year-old minor girl and then assaulted her in his home.
The court documents revealed that the suspect approached the girl at a park and asked her to get with him to his car.
He then drove his car back home where he sexually assaulted the class. The incident is not the first to its kind as many such incident have happened in the past.
People in Okinawa have felt intense resentment against US military presence on the island with many supporting them to leave the country all-together.
