CNN abruptly ended a live interview with Karoline Leavitt, the national press secretary for Donald Trump’s campaign, after she criticized the network’s choice of moderators.
Leavitt, during an exchange with Kasie Hunt on CNN This Morning, claimed Trump would face a “hostile environment” referring to the moderators who she thought were biased.
Leavitt Continuously Criticized CNN
Leavitt criticized moderators Dana Bash and Jake Tapper for their alleged bias against Trump, leading to a heated response from Hunt.
Hunt defended her colleagues, stating, “Jake Tapper and Dana Bash have acquitted themselves as professionals as they have covered campaigns and interviewed candidates from all sides of the aisle.”
When Hunt tried to refocus the discussion on Trump’s debate strategy, Leavitt continued her criticism forcing Hunt to warn her.
“Ma’am, we’re going to stop this interview if you’re going to keep attacking my colleagues,” Hunt warned two times before taking Leavitt off air.
