Hunter Biden Found Guilty of All Charges in Gun Trial

Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, has been found guilty on three federal gun charges to become the first son of a sitting US president to be criminally convicted.

Prosecutors stated that Biden, 54, lied about his drug use on a federal form when purchasing a handgun in 2018.

He pleaded not guilty, arguing he was in recovery from drug addiction at the time and was truthful on the form.

President To Respect The Verdict

In a statement, President Joe Biden expressed disappointment but gratitude for the support from his family and friends.

“I am the president, but I am also a dad. Jill and I love our son, and we are so proud of the man he is today,” the President said.

The President said the family will respect the verdict and even ruled out pardoning his son.

According to the US Department of Justice, Mr. Hunter could face up to 25 years in prison.

Legal experts suggest a short time in prison or even probation given the non-violent nature of Mr. Hunter.
