X, formerly twitter, CEO Elon Musk has announced that the website of the mini-blog platform has been redirected to X.com now.
After taking over the social media app, Elon Musk has made rapid changes to the entire structure of the platform including the name “Twitter”.
Some Browsers Showed Older Versions
Despite claims that the links will be redirected to X.com, some browsers still showed the older version but the issue was solved later on.
In a statement officially released by X, It assured its users that the move wouldn’t affect their data and privacy protection settings.
“We are letting you know that we are changing our URL, but your privacy and data protection settings remain the same,” the statement said.
What’s Next?
The decision to redirect twitter to X still does fall short of what the 52-year-old wants to achieve with it.
By making the platform easy upon conspiracy theorists and laying off thousands of its staff, tech experts believe that Elon Musk has a long way to go into making the app an “everything app” like WeChat.
