An Algerian man was finally found being held captive by his neighbor after missing for 25 years.
The missing person named Bin Omran Omar went missing 1996 when the country was going through an intense civil war, but the authorities couldn’t find him even after the war ended.
According to a report by the daily Echorouk newspaper, the man was found hidden inside a ground hole that was properly covered from above.
Kidnapper Arrested
The local news agencies reported that the family was in shock for 25 years as Omar went missing when he was just a young teen.
Omar later told local media that his captors have casted a spell on him which made him unable to talk or seek help from outside.
The alleged captor, a 61-year-old man, has been arrested and is likely facing charges related to Omar’s abduction and confinement.
Media reports mentioned that the alleged captor was exposed by his brother over inheritance dispute.
