Climate Protesters Storms Tesla Factory in Germany

Climate protesters clashed with police personnel in Germany during an attempt to storm Tesla’s factory near Berlin.

The police managed to control the protesters after arresting dozens of them right away, the BBC said.

The protesters have camped outside Europe’s first ever electric car factory for months now and this is the first time they clashed with the police.

Campaigners are protesting against the company’s expionist plan that, according to the activists, will damage the environment.

The sit-ins were organized by the Disrupt Tesla group, between May 8 and 12 which are aimed to highlight environmental concerns in the German state of Grünheide, according to the group’s spokesman.

Protesters Didn’t Enter Facility

Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed to the media that the protesters didn’t manage to break inside the facility.

Musk called the protesters the “dumbest eco-terrorists on Earth” and said they were helping fossil fuel car producers in the market.
