A former intelligence officer in the Saudi Armed Forces has told the BBC that the royal family ordered the forces to shoot those who resist the mega Neom project.
The ex-officer Col Rabih Alenezi, who now lives in London for his own safety, the Saudi family permitted its police and the military to use lethal force against those protesting against eviction.
Noem, the Line, is Saudi Arabia’s jewel in the crown to the Kingdom which is expected to complete by 2030, hence the Vision 2030.
Alenezi Retired on Health Grounds
Col Alenezi, the former officer, says he was told to evacuate people from a village and officers were told to shoot those who resisted.
Col Alenezi told the BBC that his objective was to clear a village al-Khuraybah and was misled by the government that the villagers were rebels and must be eliminated upon resistance.
Col Alenezi later withdrew from the military service on health grounds, booked a flight to the UK and has been living in London for his own safety.
