A family in the United States has been joyfully reunited with their cat after the pet was accidentally shipped hundreds of miles to California with a return package.
The BBC reported that the cat named Galeana went missing from her home in Utah earlier this month, forcing the owners to look for it for a week.
The cat was in surprisingly good health despite not having food and water for days when an Amazon worker rescued her.
Galeana’s Story
As per the BBC story, Galeana had crawled into an Amazon package unnoticed, likely due to her fondness for boxes, and was shipped 1000 miles away to California.
Nearly a week later, an Amazon worker discovered Galeana inside the package, which also contained steel-toed work boots.
Cat Microchip Revealed Contact Details
Galeana’s microchip revealed contact details of Galeana’s owner when she was brought to the vet.
Carrie Clark, Galeana’s owner, received a surprising call from the vet explaining the situation, which she initially thought was a prank.
Despite being without food or water during the journey, the cat was found to be in good health.
