Video footage has emerged capturing a shocking encounter of a woman being detained and multiple police officers in Chile.
A woman can be seen stealing a gun from a security guard and opening fire in a market in Santiago.
The dramatic event took place at Lo Valledor market, resulting in three people being injured as the woman began shooting after slipping the gun from the guard’s holster.
Cameraman Injured
The incident was recorded by TVN, a Chilean public service broadcaster, which was broadcast live at the time of the attack.
Among the wounded were a cameraman and a security guard, local media reports mentioned.
The cameraman sustained serious injuries and was promptly transported to the hospital, although reports from La Nación indicate that his condition has since stabilized.
The footage ends with the woman being placed into a car and taken away from the scene under police custody.
