Donald Gorske, a retired prison officer from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, USA, set a Guinness World Record by consuming over 34,000 Big Macs since May 17, 1972.
Gorske, who had his first Big Mac on that day, has meticulously documented each burger, keeping containers and receipts as proof.
The Big Macs Journey
Initially eating nine burgers daily, he has now scaled down to two, one for lunch and one for dinner.
Although the 70-year-old used to visit McDonald’s daily, he has now bought burgers twice a week since his retirement.
Gorske’s diet primarily consists of Big Macs, occasionally supplemented with potato chips, fruit bars, or ice cream.
Keeping Physical Health
Gorske has kept himself in the best physical shape possible by foregoing breakfast, turning down fries or any other side serving with his Big Macs, and walking a half-dozen miles daily.
Despite trying a Burger King Whopper in 1984, Gorske remains faithful to his beloved Big Mac, even proposing to his wife in a McDonald’s parking lot.
