After the tragic death of the Russian President’s critic in a prison, world leaders have held President Vladamir Putin responsible for his demise.
World leaders and Putin’s political opposition wasted no time in blaming Putin for the reported death of imprisoned opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
Navalny was jailed in 2021 for advocating to eradicate corruption of millions and even billions of dollars inside Putin’s regime.
On the other hand, Russia has claimed Navalny died of natural causes.
World Blames Putin
World leaders including President Joe Biden, Ukrainian President Zelenskiy, NATO’s chief, US Vice President, German Chancellor, Canadian Prime Minister and UK, all condemned Navalny’s death.
Joe Biden blamed Putin and said it was “yet more proof of Putin’s brutality”.
The United Kingdom Foreign Office summoned the Russian envoy and protested against the involvement of the Russian government in Navalny’s death.
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said the blood is on the hands of Putin.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau “It really shows the extent to which Putin will crack down” on freedom loving people.
