Australian Batter Khawaja Suffers Sickening Blow To The Head

Australian batter Usman Khawaja suffered a sickening blow to the head, leaving his jaw full of blood.

Although Australia managed to win the first test match against West Indies, the opener batter couldn’t save himself from the deadly bouncer from Shamar Joseph, forcing him to retire hurt.

Australia Was Chasing Just 26

The Aussie defeated the rival team by 10 wickets after the latter only managed to put 25 on the board.

The Australians reached 0-26 about 11 minutes before lunch while chasing only 26.

Just when the Aussies were about to celebrate their victory, Usman Khwaja was hit on the head, forcing the medical team to check on him.

Khawaja Bled From The Mouth

The Aussie left hand batter took off his helmet and felt his jaw but bled from his mouth.

The crowd was terrified as the ball hit close to the neck, which would have been fatal if it hit him.

Khawaja passed an initial concussion test but has gone to hospital for further scans, media reports said.
