French police have been investigating a tragic incident that took place in Meaux, the eastern region of Paris.
The residents were shocked when the police found the dead bodies of four children along with a woman, who is believed to be the alleged suspect’s wife.

The suspect was seen leaving the apartment in CCTV footage, which helped police arrest the suspect.
The public prosecutor’s held a press conference and said the crime scene was horrific and there was blood everywhere.
Prosecutor Jean-Baptiste Bladier said there was no attempted break-in, which suggests that the suspect is not a stranger.
A friend of the suspect’s wife told local media that she knew something was off when she tried to reach the family.
The witness said she found blood on the door handle and alerted the police immediately.
The mother and her two elder children, both girls, were stabbed to death, and the younger children, both boys, were suffocated.
