Controversial Conspiracy Theorist Rejoins X After Twitter Polls

X CEO Elon Musk has reinstated the account of a controversial conspiracy theorist on the platform.

Alex Jones’s account was reactivated after Elon Musk conducted polls on X, with 70% of the people suggesting lifting the ban.

Alex was banned from the platform for breaching the site’s rules five years ago.

X Welcomes Conspiracy Theorist

The BBC reported that after hours of the polls, Jones’s account was reactivated by X.

Jones is known to believe some of the most bizarre conspiracy theories, which Elon Musk says he disagrees with.

He was ordered to pay $1.5 billion as damages to families of the victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting because Jones thought the incident was staged.

Freedom of Speech

Elon Musk said he disagrees with what Mr Jones believes, but that’s not what Freedom of Speech means.

“Are we a platform that believes in freedom of speech or are we not?”, he replied to one of the users who expressed concern over Musk’s action.
