The Biden administration has warned Congress that it will run out of funds for Ukraine by the end of this year.
The Republican-led House of Representatives is reluctant to approve funds for Ukraine’s fight against Russia.
The White House asked the House to approve a $106 billion aid package, including a $61 billion package for Ukraine in September.
Out Of Money, Out Of Time
The Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Young sent a letter to the leaders of the Senate and House, warning them about insufficient funds.
“We are out of money — and nearly out of time,” she wrote in the letter.
Funding Ukraine’s war against Russia has become a bone of contention for Joe Biden, with Republicans fiercely opposed to the decision.
Republicans argue that the funds should be spent on the U.S.-Mexico border.
