The man named Dipesh Chamlagain received the iPhone after he got into the eco-friendly adventure through Renie, a tech company that introduced smart bins at Chamlagain’s workplace.
Bins Are Operational For Six Months Only
The bins, operational for about six months, gained popularity when the recycling company, Renie, initiated raffles.
Each recycled bottle equals a raffle ticket, creating an incentive for users.
Sander Van Waes, the company’s founder, explained, “A lot of new users formed a habit and continue to recycle with us every day.”
How does Renie Work?
Renie’s smart bins reward users and contribute to efficient waste management.
When full, a signal is sent to local waste management companies to ensure proper recycling.
The collected plastic is then sold to recyclers, streamlining the process and promoting a cleaner environment.
