Former US Vice President Mike Pence has withdrawn from the 2024 presidential race.
Mike became the first republican candidate to withdraw from his campaign led by former President Donald Trump.
He announced his decision at the Republican Jewish Coalition on Saturday.
Pence Racks Up Campaign Debt
The BBC reported that the former president had already come under debt during his presidential campaign.
Mr. Pence ended September with $621,000 debt during the campaign and has only left $1.2 million in his bank account.
“On 15 October, his candidacy was $620,000 in debt and only had $1.2m cash on hand,” The Guardian reported.
Trump Said Pence Lacked Courage
Mr. Pence was accused of having no courage when the former refused to overturn the Democrat’s election victory in 2020.
He broke with Trump over the 6 January Capitol riot in 2021.
Some of the Capitol Hill rioters were heard chanting “hang Mike Pence,” according to the BBC.
