Scientists in South Africa recently found that animals fear the voices of humans more than lions. The study revealed that 95% of animals were extremely frightened when they heard humans talking to each other on hidden speakers.
Humans Are Dangerous
Researchers played recordings of people speaking naturally using concealed speakers near water sources in Kruger National Park in South Africa. The results of the study indicated that the animals, such as antelopes, elephants, giraffes, leopards, and warthogs, have acquired the knowledge that interacting with humans is very dangerous.
Findings Not Restricted To Park
The scientist involved in the study also said that the findings were not restricted to the Kruger National Park. Other researchers have also concluded the same results where animals were observed to fear humans more than big cats.
The research study was published in Current Biology.
